Momina Iqbal is a renowned television artist who is currently making headlines after accusing PML-N MPA Muhammad Saqib Chaddar of harassing and threatening her and her in-laws. The matter went viral overnight, and the NCCIA and the government intervened following Momina Iqbal’s official complaints and took timely action. The investigation findings stated that Momina Iqbal and Saqib Chaddar had been in a long-term relationship, but they broke up eight months ago, after which Momina Iqbal got engaged and is set to marry on 1st June.
Now, after proof of the alleged involvement of the PML-N MPA surfaced, Maryam Nawaz also took action on the matter and also shared her official statement.
Taking to her official X account, the CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz wrote, “The recent matter involving a PML-N Member of the Provincial Assembly and a prominent media personality is a personal issue and will be addressed strictly on merit and in accordance with the law. However, I want to make it absolutely clear that I will not spare anyone found involved in attempting to harass, threaten, or exploit a woman. No individual, regardless of status, position, or political connections, is above the law. State institutions will perform their duties independently, impartially, and in accordance with the Constitution and the law. Any attempt to exert political pressure, abuse influence, or exploit a woman through threats of releasing personal content publicly will be met with firm and uncompromising action. Consider this a clear and serious warning to anyone involved.”
