Multiple broadcasters have already confirmed they will carry live coverage of the service, with viewers in Sydney and Melbourne able to watch on free-to-air television, while streaming options will also be available nationally.
Mr Hinch died on 10 July, aged 82, following a battle with cancer. The veteran journalist, broadcaster and former senator will be honoured with a State Funeral Service at The Timber Yard in Port Melbourne, where family, friends and figures from across the media, political and public sectors are expected to gather.

Known as the “Human Headline”, Hinch enjoyed a career spanning newspapers, radio, television and politics, becoming one of Australia’s most recognisable and outspoken media personalities.
Confirmed television coverage includes:
- Seven: Live from 12.00pm AEST in Sydney and Melbourne on Channel 7, and nationally on 7plus. Coverage will be hosted by Karina Carvalho.
- Nine: Live from 12.00pm AEST in Melbourne on Channel 9, with streaming available on 9Now.
- Victorian Government: The service will also be streamed live via the Victorian Government website HERE.
Long time friend and broadcaster Darren James will serve as master of ceremonies, while Ray Martin is set to deliver a tribute reflecting on Hinch’s remarkable life and career.
A host of media, political and public figures are expected to attend.
