The young teen killed in a horrific Victorian crash on Sunday has been revealed as a beloved rising sports star from a regional town.
Tenesha Fieldsend was travelling home from a volleyball competition on Sunday evening when the Mitsubishi Triton she was inside was involved in a three-vehicle collision in Ledcourt.
Two people in a separate car were found deceased at the Western Highway scene, while 14-year-old Fieldsend and her 17-year-old driver were airlifted to hospital.

Unfortunately, the young volleyballer had suffered critical injuries and passed away shortly after arriving at the hospital.
One day after the Western Victorian crash, a local sporting club has paid tribute to Fieldsend and remembered her as an adored member of their community.

Latrobe Valley Volleyball shared a statement on social media for the 14-year-old, saying the organisation was left “deeply saddened” by her unexpected passing.
“Tenesha was a much-loved part of our sporting community and will be sadly missed by her teammates, coaches, friends, and our wider volleyball members,” a spokesperson for the Churchill club wrote on Monday evening.
“It feels extra special that she was part of our bronze medal winning team at the Volleyball Victoria Junior Country Championships in Horsham over the weekend.
“What a wonderful achievement to have shared with her teammates and a memory for them to treasure.
“Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with her family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing her.
“She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered.”
Police have revealed the Triton was being driven by Fieldsend’s older brother, who was a learner driver.
It is alleged that the learner had clipped a truck, before slamming into another car on the busy Victorian thoroughfare.
The occupants of the other car were found deceased at the scene. They are yet to be formally identified.
The 29-year-old truck driver, as well as the teen’s 43-year-old mother and 11-year-old sister, were uninjured in the crash.
Victoria Police Detective Acting Sergeant Leigh Miller said the cause of the crash was under investigation.
“At this stage, we don’t know why this collision has occurred, but what we will be investigating is whether fatigue or distraction, whether speed is involved,” Miller said.
