Cleveland Browns defensive end Jared Verse said he did not have FOMO after not attending quarterback Deshaun Watson’s birthday party.
Jared Verse has been a major factor in the resurgent campaign of the Cleveland Browns. In his first season with the Browns, Verse has set the tone on defense, helping the team to a 4-2 record.
Verse has always been a dependable enforcer, displaying his work ethic, high motor, and competitiveness. He is the consummate teammate. He is willing to do anything to help his squad win.
Just don’t ask him to drive for an hour.
On Monday, Deshaun Watson celebrated his birthday by hosting his teammates at his house. Verse, however, did not come. When asked why, the 25-year-old defensive tackle had a relatable reason.
“Well, it’s an hour from my house. So, no,” said Verse with a laugh in the video posted by 92.3 The Fan’s Spencer German.
Verse, however, turned serious in hailing Watson’s gesture.
“I think it definitely helps team chemistry. When you have one of the leaders on your team, somebody who’s been making the plays he has to, especially with the controversies and things he has to go up against, I think it’s really good,” added the two-time Pro Bowler.
“You had everybody at your house, everybody’s having fun. From what I’ve seen, it looked like a great time. Everybody was laughing and joking. They were doing a lot of things.”

Probably including making fun of everyone who was not at Watson’s party. That’s also a relatable thing, right?
It happened after the Browns defeated the Baltimore Ravens, 13-10, at Huntington Bank Field.
The Browns will try to build on their camaraderie when they take on the Tennessee Titans at Nissan Stadium on Sunday.
Verse doesn’t need to worry. He won’t have to drive to Nashville.
