Indian heritage bloomed amidst the hills at this wedding

Set amidst the hills of the Western Ghats, the wedding of Rakshita Lathiya and Dijendra Kyada was an immersive celebration that blended Indian heritage with contemporary destination-luxe styling. Hosted at Della Resorts, Lonavala, the celebrations, designed and produced with thoughtfulness by WeddingSutra Favorite – Yes 99 Events, paid an ode to Pichwai art from Rajasthan and the legendary wish-granting Kalpavriksha tree.

Wedding Planning
Dipesh Kothari of Yes 99 Events says, “The design language of the couple was one with a strong visual identity, full of warmth and experiential elements. The overall decor aesthetic was elevated, immersive, and nature-led. The overall vibe was of a blend of bohemian luxury and Indian heritage, with each function transporting guests into a different world.”

Wedding Functions
Gala Dinner
The dinner had a boho-chic vibe and enjoyed a casual dinner setting styled with abundant pampas grass, lush dried florals, neutral linen, suspended rattan chandeliers, and intimate candlelit tablescapes.

Mandap Muhurat
This sacred ritual was rooted in traditional Rajasthani art, featuring hand-painted Pichwai backdrops styled in soft to deep shades of pink. Grounded entirely in lotus motifs, tuberose, and antique brass accents for a delicate, marigold-free floral palette.

Haldi
This was a sundowner Italian fiesta, styled in crisp blue-and-white tile prints with bright lemon-yellow floral accents, ambient golden-hour lighting, woven wicker, and draped cabanas.

Sangeet
This evening was a “starry” celebration, featuring a radiant celestial atmosphere layered with warm golden lighting, fairy light canopies, fiber-optic light curtains, suspended crystal constellations.

Pheras
The pheras ceremony were held in a sacred forest setting, featuring an entrance with a reverse-hanging tree canopy of suspended foliage, leading to a monumental Kalpavriksha (Tree of Wishes) Mandap—where the couple exchanged vows directly under an arching, flower-draped architectural tree structure.
