Shampoo is chosen according to the scalp (not the hair)
As we said, shampoo is a product for the scalp: that’s where it works and cleanses. A bit like in skincare, it should be chosen according to skin type or scalp type: oily, dry, sensitive, prone to flaking. Each condition requires a different formula. When you get shampoo wrong, you see it right away: hair that gets dirty too fast, itchy, lack of volume or a ‘heavy’ feeling. When you choose the right one, everything changes. Hair feels better already from the root and consequently, on the lengths as well.
This is why it is essential to understand your scalp in order to choose the right products.
Leave-in products do more than you think
If you had to choose one step that is most often ignored, this is it. Leave-in products, that is, anything that you don’t rinse off, are the ones that really stay on the hair. And therefore, the ones that work the most over time.
We’re talking about detangling sprays, light creams, serums, heat protectants. They are not an extra, but a functional layer: they protect against heat, moisture, friction and help keep the fibre firmer between washes.
The point is simple: the shampoo cleans, the conditioner treats and the leave-in accompanies the hair to exposure to external agents. With, it completely changes texture, hold and strength.
