Hundreds of teenagers have run riot causing utter mayhem in Melbourne’s southeast after a Halloween party spiralled out of control.
The police air wing was called in to help as innocent neighbours were left with damaged property and an almighty mess.

Up to 400 partygoers ran rampant through Hampton Park, with bottles hurled at police vehicles, letterboxes sent flying and fences destroyed.
“They were everywhere. They just kept coming. People kept dropping them off as well. They just pulled up in cars, dropped five or six off and then they just kept coming up the street,” one neighbour said.
The public order response team and air wing were called in as the chaos spilled into a nearby park and the local McDonald’s.

On Saturday morning, the only party favours left for neighbours was a mess of empty bottles and cans.
“It was like a nightmare. I’d never ever seen (anything like it) in my life,” one neighbour said.

The 16-year-old party host says adults were home but the night spiralled out of control when hundreds of uninvited guests turned up.
“It was supposed to be a good night, you know, get some drinks and us, just have a good time.,” he said.

Now with a hangover of regret, he’s promising to apologise to each and every neighbour.
“They probably won’t speak to us for a little while, but yeah, we just feel really bad. We’re doing what we can to clean up the street,” the teen said.
When asked if he’d be having another party, he replied: “Um, I think I’m banned from having parties right now.”
