The official website of the currently airing Fist of the North Star: Hokuto no Ken TV anime series has announced the addition of three new voice cast members. The anime premiered in Japan on April 10, 2026.
The three latest cast members consist of Chafurin as Heart, Yasuhiro Mamiya as Dia, and Anri Katsu as Club. The characters will appear in the show’s third and fourth episodes.
They join a previously announced voice cast that stars:
- • Shunsuke Takeuchi as Kenshiro
- • Daiki Yamashita as Bat
- • M.A.O as Rin
- • Koji Yusa as Shin
- • Saori Hayami as Yuria
- • Yuichi Nakamura as Rei
- • Ruriko Aoki as Mamiya
Hiroshi Maeda (Genesis of Aquarion compositing director) is directing the anime series, with Kazuhiko Inukai (Bakugan: Armored Alliance) as series composer, Kazuma Ogasawara as assistant director, Naoki Hisatsune (Magic Kaito 2010 sub-character designer) as character designer, Koji (written in katakana) as animation director, and Yuki Hayashi (My Hero Academia) as music composer. TMS Entertainment is in charge of the animation production, with NIA Animation and Kishida Studio BACU credited with the production cooperation/CG production.
Fist of the North Star: Hokuto no Ken is a new anime adaptation of the post-apocalyptic manga series (known simply as Hokuto no Ken or Fist of the North Star) written by Buronson and drawn by Tetsuo Hara. It was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump from September 13, 1983 to August 8, 1988. A total of 27 tankobon volumes were released in Japan. VIZ Media released the manga in English in hardcover format.
Fist of the North Star inspired two TV anime seasons and an anime film in the 1980s. A new series made up of OVAs and films was released between 2006 and 2008 with five installments. Other media include a 1995 live-action film, a stage play, and video games.
A novel titled Hokuto no Ken: Jubaku no Machi was published in 1996 and received a 2003-2004 three-episode OVA adaptation titled New Fist of the North Star.
