Jennifer Lawrence has made one thing very clear: everyone needs to be nice to her and her new baby as she introduces it to the world. Luckily, when it comes to mesº, there’s plenty to like.
We’ve heard whispers through the grapevine for some time that Lawrence was launching a haircare line. Now, it’s official. For its debut Instagram campaign, 24 strangers, plus Lawrence herself, were invited to dance and come as they are. It set the tone for the ethos behind mesº, conceived to be about beauty that makes room for you.
“Somewhere along the way, beauty stopped fitting into our lives and started asking our lives to fit around it. More products. More steps. More maintenance. Perfection became more of an obligation. We started mes° because we believe beauty should fit into your life, not the other way around,” Lawrence shared on the website.
The brand’s science-led approach began taking shape three years ago, when Lawrence watched a TED Talk by Jasmine Aganovic, founder and CEO of biotech company Arcae. Multiple Zoom calls later, the two began developing a haircare line with hair health at its centre. “Jen had a vision for unique product formats and use cases with hair health at the centre. Her creativity challenged our science, and our science opened up possibilities neither of us had imagined. We pushed each other to think differently, question conventions, and create something we couldn’t have arrived at alone,” Aganovic shared.

What products will be released?
mesº will be launching with just three products to begin with: the Multitask Repair Mask, Good Roots Volume Mist and Off-Duty Restyling Serum.
Multitask Repair Mask
This is an intensive repair mask you can wear anytime, on wet or dry hair. It also doubles as a styling product. Leave it in for 5 or more minutes and wash it out, or use it as a styling product for a wet glossy look that lasts all day.
Good Roots Volume Mist
A volumising spray that reduces scalp oiliness for lasting lift. All you need to do is spray it onto damp roots after washing your hair, and style as normal.
Off-Duty Restyling Serum
A bi-phase serum that smooths frizz, restores shine, and reshapes worn in hair.

Can I buy mesº in Australia?
Sorry, not yet. At this time, shipping is only available in the US. Watch this space though – we expect demand to be high, so its only a matter of time before shipping goes international.
When does mesº officially launch?
