The Cleveland Browns will be going into training camp this season with a new vision, but with some of the same faces from last year. One of the players who is expected to make a jump is Harold Fannin Jr., as he had a solid rookie season for the Browns.
What many didn’t know was that Fannin had surgery during the offseason, but was cleared weeks ago, according to Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com.
“Browns TE Harold Fannin Jr. reveals he had surgery in the offseason. It was related to his groin injury last season. Was cleared 2 weeks ago,” Kay Cabot wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

Fannin also let reporters know that he’ll be full-go for training despite the surgery, which is good news for the Browns. There’s a good chance that Fannin will be the lead tight end for the team since David Njoku signed with the Los Angeles Chargers in the offseason.
The Browns have some things to work through during training camp, with the most important one being the quarterback battle between Deshaun Watson, Shedeur Sanders and Dillon Gabriel. As of now, it looks like the battle for QB1 is going between Watson and Sanders, and it doesn’t look like anyone has a lead over the other.
“Monken: ‘Nothing has really changed’ with the QB order. Watson and Sanders will alternate with the 1s, but ‘all four will get meaningful reps.’ Said the Browns only need a starter by the opener,” Zac Jackson of The Athletic wrote on X.
Both quarterbacks have good cases to take the starting job before the start of the season. Watson wins the experience part of the battle, while Sanders has shown through a few games at the end of last season that he could be the future quarterback for the Browns.
