The Faculty of Basic and Applied Sciences (FBAS) of GM University, in association with GM Scientific Innovation and Research LLP, is organizing a two-day National Conference titled “Sciencevision – 2026” on the university campus in Davangere starting Thursday.
Addressing presspersons in Davangere on Tuesday, Dean of FBAS Santosh B.M. said that the national conference on “Advanced Materials for Green Energy and Environment” will deliberate on themes such as energy, material and cosmic systems, molecular innovation and sustainable technologies, computational modelling and intelligent systems and integrative biology and biotechnology innovations.
Prof. Santosh said that during the inaugural session to be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday at G.M Halamma Auditorium on the university campus, chief scientist of CSIR-NAL Bengaluru S.T. Aruna and scientist, Centre for Nano and Soft Matter Sciences (CeNS), C.V. Yelamaggad will deliver keynote addresses.
He said that the conference will provide a platform for undergraduate and postgraduate students, research scholars, academicians and industry experts to deliberate on global energy challenges and breakthrough scientific innovations. They have already received 94 research papers from across the country and the select among them will be published in the conference proceedings, he said.
Faculty members of GM University K.S. Omkarappa, Prasanna B.M.R., Veeragangadhar Swamy T.M. and Vasanth Kumar G.S. were present.
