Ten thousand passengers have passed through the remote terminal since its opening on June 1, MassPort said.

Delta and JetBlue passengers flying between 5:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. can go through TSA security at the first-of-its-kind remote terminal and take a bus straight to their gate at Logan for $9 each way, according to Massport.
“We couldn’t be happier with the success of the Remote Terminal over the last two months,” Rich Davey, CEO of Massport, said in the announcement. “Passengers have been loving the convenience of the service, not stressing about trying to drive into Boston and getting to ride on the airfield next to planes.”
“Reaching 10,000 passengers in just two months demonstrates the strong demand for this service, and I am thrilled to see Massport extend the pilot for another year,” Framingham Mayor Charlie Sisitsky also said in the announcement.
Since opening, Massport has made “operational improvements to increase efficiency,” worked with TSA to open security lanes earlier, and added coffee machines, according to Massport.
Massport plans to open remote terminals in other locations and expand to include passengers of more airlines in the future, Massport said.
Tickets to the remote terminal can be purchased on the Massport website between 90 days and 90 minutes in advance.
