BINGE has dropped the first look at its new docuseries Deadliest Dinners Australia, with Mario Kalpou taking his love of food into some very wild territory.
The eight-part series, announced earlier this year by the DAZN-owned streamer, follows the chef as he searches for extraordinary ingredients across some of Australia’s most unforgiving landscapes.
Australian-born chef and adventurer Mario Kalpou has made a name for himself combining food and adventure in series including Man Eats Wild and United Plates, and now brings that approach home to Australia.

The new series will see him head into shark-filled waters, crocodile-infested rivers, remote cliff faces and the Northern Territory outback, with each expedition requiring plenty of local knowledge, preparation and a healthy dose of nerve.
Along the way, Kalpou works with guides, wilderness experts and Traditional Owners, while putting his survival skills to work in some decidedly difficult conditions.
Mario Kalpou said the series has taken his food and adventure format to a new level, with the experience being about much more than simply finding something to put on the plate.
“Deadliest Dinners is my most ambitious adventure yet, taking me into some of Australia’s most dangerous environments in search of extraordinary ingredients and unforgettable stories.”
The series is produced by Mew Productions in co-production with the Foxtel Group, with Kalpou also serving as an executive producer alongside Howard Myers-Rifai and Chris Hearn.
Deadliest Dinners Australia premieres exclusively on BINGE at 9am on September 9, with Foxtel customers able to watch on FOX8 from 7.30pm.
