The Newcastle Jets have on Thursday confirmed the departure of attacker Eli Adams to an overseas club for an undisclosed fee.
Although Adams still had one year left to run on his deal with the Jets, the club determined that allowing him to take up the overseas move was in the player’s best interests.
Since arriving at the Jets in 2024, Adams featured 52 times across all competitions and found the net on 20 occasions for the club.
Nigel Boogaard, Newcastle Jets General Manager of Football, expressed his gratitude for the substantial impact Adams made during his time with the club.
“Eli has been a fantastic player for the Jets over the past two seasons. We are proud of the way he has developed during his time with us, and while we are disappointed to see him go, we are excited for the opportunity he now has overseas.
“We thank Eli for his contribution to the Club and wish him all the best for the next stage of his career.”
