Rahul Gandhi and opposition leaders are increasingly adopting an element of surprise in their political protests. From sudden sit-ins to abrupt route changes, unexpected demonstrations in Delhi have caught authorities off guard. Recent instances include an India bloc lunch turning into a street demonstration, a sudden detour towards Akashvani Bhavan following a march to the Election Commission, an unannounced march towards the Prime Minister’s residence from Mallikarjun Kharge’s residence on July 21st, and an impromptu sit-in outside Parliament Street Police Station on August 21st alongside student Sahil Locha demanding an FIR over alleged pellet gun injuries.
