Dubai Police have confirmed the fourth edition of the Positive Spirit Cycling Race will take place at Dubai Autodrome on Saturday, May 9.
The event is open to men, women and children aged five and above, with a total prize fund of AED90,000.
The race is part of the Dubai Police Positive Spirit Council initiative, which uses sport to encourage healthier habits and stronger links across the community.
Riders will compete over 10km on a closed circuit at Dubai Autodrome. The race will follow a criterium format, which means cyclists complete laps on a short course rather than a longer point-to-point route.
The format should suit a wide mix of riders, from young cyclists taking part for the first time to more regular competitors looking for a fast race environment.
Organisers said the event is designed for different age categories and fitness levels, with families also encouraged to attend.
The race adds another community sports event to Dubai’s calendar and gives cyclists a safe, controlled venue to compete away from public roads.
