When flight disruptions left many Indians stranded in the Middle East, uncertainty and worry spread quickly.
But in Dubai, one entrepreneur decided to act.
Dubai-based businessman Yogesh Doshi opened his 64-apartment building to Indians who had nowhere to go. Families, travellers and workers suddenly found a safe place to stay — along with meals and support.
With coordination from the Indian People’s Forum UAE and the Indian Consulate in Dubai, over 125 stranded Indians were given shelter during the crisis.
What began as a moment of disruption turned into a powerful reminder of humanity.
Because sometimes, the biggest help isn’t money or power — it’s simply opening your door.
Would you do the same if someone needed help in your city?
