Delhi traders and the Chamber of Trade and Industry have claimed losses worth 11,000 crore rupees following the INDIA bloc rally held at Ramlila Maidan. Traders reported that 2.5 lakh shops remained shut and roughly 80% of business activity stopped within a 5-kilometre radius, disrupting daily-wage workers and festive shopping. The traders questioned who would compensate them for the losses after their requests to postpone the rally were rejected. Meanwhile, Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi stated that the rally participants intended to shop in Delhi and blamed the ruling BJP government for forcibly closing shops in Connaught Place.
