The return comes less than a year after the first season premiered in November 2025, with the ABC also releasing a first look at the new season.
In a clever bit of marketing from the ABC, Blue Heelers legend John Wood, aka Tom Croydon, joins Zemiro for a tongue-in-cheek police interview in the new promo, putting the pair in a staged interrogation room setup.

Zemiro will again be joined by expert criminologists Professor Danielle Reynald and Dr David Bartlett, alongside a rotating panel of comedians.
This season’s line-up includes Rhys Nicholson, Zoë Coombs Marr, Claire Hooper, Dave Thornton, Jessie Stephens and Scout Boxall, with Alex Lee, Ryan Shelton, Susie Youssef, Alexei Toliopoulos and Alex Ward also featured across the season.
Across six episodes, the series will explore topics including false confessions, romance scams, citizen sleuths, cults and criminal profiling, with Lou Wall returning to offer analysis on the theories that shape modern criminology.
Crime Night! is commissioned by the ABC and produced by Dreamchaser and Maverick Entertainment in association with the broadcaster, with David Forster, Frank Bruzzese and Julia Zemiro serving as executive producers for Maverick.
Billy Russell is executive producer for Dreamchaser, while Michiko Smith is the ABC executive producer and Rachel Millar is ABC Head of Entertainment.
World distribution rights are managed by ABC Commercial, with season one currently streaming on ABC iview ahead of the second season.
Crime Night! returns Wednesday 30 September at 9pm on ABC TV and ABC iview
