Delhi Police placed Cockroach Janta Party leaders Abhijeet Dipke, Ashutosh Ranka, and Saurabh Das in preventive detention inside their aircraft immediately after landing at Delhi airport from Mumbai. The detentions occurred ahead of a planned march towards Jantar Mantar. Police denied permission for the agitation, warning that public assemblies in the designated zones are prohibited and subject to legal action. Heavy security measures transformed Central Delhi and the New Delhi area into heavily barricaded sectors, with 20 sectors supervised by Indian Police Service officers. Vehicular traffic, auto-rickshaws, and metro services faced extensive curbs across the surrounding vicinity to restrict mass mobilisations. Police forces stationed across key locations, including Regal Theatre, Connaught Place, and Raisina Road, actively dispersed student gatherings attempting to proceed towards the protest venue.
