Celebrating traditions with vivid hues and whimsical themes, this destination wedding blended playfulness with elegance

Some weddings are defined by grandeur, while others stand out for the ease with which every celebration unfolds. Riddhi Bafna and Swapnil Nolkha’s wedding was a seamless blend of both. Planned by WeddingSutra Favorite – Black Rose Events & Entertainment, the multi-day celebration reflected the couple’s unwavering trust in their planning team, allowing every event to embrace a distinct personality while remaining beautifully cohesive. The wedding was photographed by WeddingSutra Favorite – Raabta Studios, who accurately captured the spirit of the celebrations.

Deep Lakhani of Black Rose Events & Entertainment shares, “They came to us with complete faith and a blank canvas, giving us the freedom to bring ideas we’d been waiting to execute for a long time. That trust, combined with the warmth of both families, made this one of our most fulfilling weddings.”

The celebrations commenced with an intimate welcome evening that set a relaxed and convivial tone. Soft sage green linens, fresh white florals, layered greenery and understated tablescapes lent the alfresco setting an elegant garden-party aesthetic. Lounge seating in muted hues encouraged guests to settle in comfortably, while thoughtfully curated interactive games added a lighthearted touch without overwhelming the evening, making it an effortless icebreaker before the festivities gathered momentum.

The following morning unfolded as a vibrant carnival-inspired haldi. A playful palette of fuchsia, tangerine and sunshine yellow transformed the venue into a cheerful celebration, with flowing drapes suspended overhead, floral-printed tables, colourful parasols and whimsical installations creating an atmosphere brimming with energy. Rather than limiting the experience to décor alone, the planners introduced interactive game stalls that kept guests engaged throughout, including new concepts such as Goli Maar, inspired by traditional wooden fair games, and Spin the Wheel, adding a nostalgic yet playful touch to the festivities. The experience culminated in the specially designed ‘Hit the Bullseye’ challenge, where participants earned tokens before trying their luck at winning gifts. The lively setting beautifully balanced festive exuberance with thoughtful guest engagement.

As dusk descended, the mood shifted dramatically for the sangeet. A monochromatic palette of black, ivory and soft greens created a sophisticated setting that placed equal emphasis on comfort and performance. Long banquet tables dressed in botanical prints, candlelit lounges, lush floral arrangements and refined seating pockets framed the expansive performance area without distracting from it. The evening seamlessly transitioned from heartfelt family performances to an energetic musical showcase by rajdeep chaterjee, culminating in a spectacular celebration beneath dazzling pyrotechnics and dramatic lighting.

Speaking about the design philosophy, Deep reflects, “We wanted every event to have its own visual identity while still feeling like chapters of the same story. The transitions between celebrations were intentional, allowing guests to experience something completely different every time they entered a new venue.”

The wedding ceremony embraced romance in its purest form. A delicate palette of blush pinks and soft ivories washed over the venue, where a floral mandap bloomed beneath a translucent canopy adorned with tassel detailing. Cascading arrangements of roses, carnations and delicate blooms framed the sacred space, while plush seating and elegant floral accents softened the expansive venue. Bathed in natural daylight against panoramic views, the ceremony felt intimate despite its scale, allowing the décor to enhance rather than overshadow the significance of the rituals.

The celebrations concluded with an elegant reception that traded vibrant colour for timeless sophistication. Architectural white panels inspired by traditional craftsmanship formed a striking backdrop, their intricate detailing softened by abundant foliage and understated floral arrangements. Crystal chandeliers suspended within gold-framed structures added a sense of grandeur to the entrance experience, while black-and-white lounges layered with candles, florals and sculptural décor created refined conversation spaces. The evening’s relaxed format encouraged guests to reconnect, bringing the celebrations to a graceful close in an atmosphere that felt both polished and warmly welcoming.
