Can The Eagles Continue Their Division Title Streak?

Eagles

It took 21 seasons for a repeat champion in the NFC East. But the Eagles became the first team to win the NFC East in back-to-back seasons since the 2001-2004 campaigns. When the Eagles successfully won the division four straight years in a row.

During that 21 year stretch. All four teams won the division multiple times, but it’s clear who the heavyweights have been.

NYG(3x) – 2005, 2008, 2011

WAS(3x) – 2012, 2015, 2020

DAL(7x) – 2007, 2009, 2014, 2016, 2018, 2021, 2023

PHI (8x) -2006, 2010, 2013, 2017, 2019, 2022, 2024, 2025

During that time. The NFC East has seen the following playoff success(es) and failures:

NYG – 9-5 record, 2x Super Bowl Champions (XLII, XLVI)

PHI – 13-11 record, 2022 NFC Champs, 2x Super Bowl Champions (LII, LIX)

DAL – 4-9 record

WAS – 3-6 record

Heading Into 2026

The Eagles aren’t just coming into 2026 to defend another division title. With a 5-4 record to finish the season following the Bye. A playoff loss to the 49ers marked the end of the year, and the search for a new offensive coordinator. Again.

With the departures of Kevin Patullo & Christian Parker, the Eagles will look to new coaching staff members in Sean Mannion, Josh Grizzard, Jerrod Johnson and Chris Kuper to revitalize a team that struggled to get to the finish line last year. And will be hungry to compete for Super Bowl LXI.

And with the draft beginning in a few hours. There will be more roster changes coming. Currently with the 23rd overall pick, who knows what the Eagles will come out of this weekend with.
