After an action-packed first weekend of the Ninja A-League 2026 Finals Series, the Australian Professional Leagues (APL) has confirmed the fixture details for leg one of both Semi-Final showdowns.
Melbourne Victory reached their seventh Semi-Final in the last eight seasons after a hard-fought 3-1 win over Canberra United in front of a record crowd.
It sets up a Melbourne Derby Semi Final, with Victory – the lowest ranked Elimination Final winner – taking on Premiers Melbourne City.
The first leg will be played on Saturday 2 May at AAMI Park, kick off 5pm AEST, with details for the second leg of the Melbourne Derby Semi Final to be confirmed in the coming week.
In the other Elimination Final, Brisbane Roar secured their place in the Semi-Finals, the club’s first in five years, after beating Adelaide United 3-0 in front of a sold out crowd.
The Roar will now face Finals Series debutants Wellington Phoenix in the other Semi Final, with the first leg to be played at 5pm (AEST) on Sunday 3 May at Spencer Park.
The Nix will host the return leg in Wellington on Sunday 10 May at Porirua Park, with the Phoenix confirming the venue will have an increased capacity with a temporary stand being built at the northern end.
First leg Semi Final tickets will go on sale early next week, with fans able to stay up-to-date on all the latest ticket information via the A-League Finals Hub
Melbourne Victory v Melbourne City (Semi-Final Leg 1)
- Tickets will go on sale on Tuesday 28 April at 9:00am AEST for members, and from 4:00pm AEST for the general public via Ticketek.
Brisbane Roar v Wellington Phoenix (Semi-Final Leg 1)
- Tickets will go on sale on Monday 27 April at 10:00am AEST for women’s and men’s club members, and from 4:00pm AEST for the general public via Flicket.
Tickets for Wellington Phoenix’s second leg clash at Porirua Park are on sale via Ticketek – with over 3,000 tickets already snapped up, and both grandstand and temporary seating selling out within hours.
The highest placed team from the regular season that qualifies for the Grand Final will earn the right to host the Ninja A-League 2026 Grand Final to be played on the weekend of 16-17 May.
During the Ninja A-League 2026 Finals Series matches will be shown live across a mix of 10 Drama, 10 Streaming and Paramount+, with fans able to watch one game every weekend live and free-to-air on 10 Drama.
For New Zealand viewers, every match of the Ninja A-League 2026 Finals Series will be available live on Sky Sport and can be streamed on Sky Sport Now and Sky Go, with select matches also broadcast free-to-air on Sky Open.
