Melbourne City Head Coach Aurelio Vidmar has been named Coach of the Month in the Isuzu UTE A-League for April.
The City Head Coach has taken out the sixth and final coaching honour of the Isuzu UTE A-League 2025-26 season after Melbourne Victory Arthur Diles scooped the award for March.
Vidmar guided his side to three wins and suffered one loss during the April eligibility period as City’s impressive late season surge saw them secure a spot in the Finals Series.

Melbourne City finished in sixth position at the end of the Isuzu UTE A-League regular season and will now face Auckland FC in the Elimination Finals.
Vidmar was nominated for the April award via Football Coaches Australia’s monthly nomination process.

Australian Professional Leagues (APL) partnered with FCA in 2022-23 to help provide the recognition required for outstanding coaching performances across both the Isuzu UTE A-League and Ninja A-League.
The FCA assembled an experienced panel that decides the monthly nominees and then subsequent winners for Coach of the Month in both leagues.
The April eligibility period included Rounds 23-26 of the Isuzu UTE A-League season, with games between April 2 to April 26 considered by the FCA Panel when voting for the Coach of the Month nominees.

Vidmar and his side defeated Central Coast Mariners 2-1, Wellington Phoenix 2-0 and defeated Brisbane Roar 3-2 away from home before falling to Adelaide United 2-1 in the final round of the season.
