Western Sydney Wanderers have confirmed the departures of Captain Amy Harrison, Danika Matos, Ying Wang, Alana Cerne and Ava Collins following the conclusion of their contracts.
The departures see the Wanderers farewell two significant figures in the history of their women’s program, with Harrison and Matos making a combined 207 appearances for the club.
Matos departs as the Wanderers’ all-time appearance leader in the Ninja A-League, having represented the club 111 times across seven seasons.

A Western Sydney product, Matos became a mainstay of the Wanderers women’s side, featuring across multiple positions and eras of the club’s program.
Her 111 appearances are more than any other player in the history of the Wanderers women’s team.
Meanwhile club captain Harrison also departs after multiple spells at the club, finishing with 96 appearances – the third-most in the history of the women’s team.
The midfielder played a key role in the Wanderers’ historic 2019/20 campaign, when the club qualified for the Finals Series for the first time.

After returning from a stint with PSV Eindhoven, Harrison continued to establish herself as a leader within the squad and was later appointed captain.
She also scored nine goals for the Wanderers, placing her third on the club’s all-time women’s goalscoring list.
Wanderers head coach Geoff Abrahams paid tribute to Harrison’s contribution and leadership.
“Amy has been an outstanding leader and an incredibly important person for this football club,” said Abrahams.
“To play almost 100 games for one club is a significant achievement and Amy has given so much to the Wanderers across different periods of her career.
“We’re incredibly grateful for everything Amy has contributed and she leaves with the respect of everyone within the football program.”
Abrahams also praised Matos for her consistency and commitment across her seven seasons at the club.
“Danika has been an incredible servant to this Club and what she has achieved across seven seasons speaks for itself.
“To become the all-time appearance leader for the Wanderers women’s team is a fantastic achievement and a reflection of her consistency, professionalism and commitment to the team.”
“Danika is Western Sydney through and through and she should be incredibly proud of the legacy she leaves behind at this Club. She will always be an important part of the Wanderers family.”
Defenders Wang and Cerne also depart after adding experience and stability to the Wanderers’ back line.
New Zealand international Collins leaves the club after joining during the 2025/26 campaign.
The Wanderers thanked all five players for their contribution and professionalism during their time at the club and wished them well for the next chapter of their careers.
