Ameera VK Turned Her Teaching Passion Into a Sporting Vision

The classroom did not disappear from Ameera VK’s life. It simply became much bigger. After more than five years as a science teacher, Ameera had become familiar with the small moments that tell a teacher a child is changing. A hesitant answer becomes a confident one. A difficult lesson becomes understandable. A child who once stood quietly begins to participate.

Then she stepped onto a different kind of teaching ground.

Today, Ameera VK is the Founder of Evergreen Stars Sports Club, with seven branches across the UAE. The walls are gone, the blackboard has been replaced by open fields and the lessons are no longer confined to textbooks.

But the purpose remains remarkably similar.

She is still teaching.

Only now, the curriculum includes discipline, teamwork, resilience, respect and self-belief.

Ameera VK and the Journey From Classroom to Football Field

For Ameera, education was never simply about delivering lessons.

Her years as a science teacher gave her a close view of childhood development, including the confidence children gain when they are encouraged to try, fail and try again.

That experience became unexpectedly relevant when she entered youth sports.

Founding a sports club meant stepping into an entirely different form of entrepreneurship. There were operations to manage, teams to develop, parents to reassure and children to understand.

But Ameera already knew something essential.

Children do not learn in exactly the same way.

Some respond to encouragement. Others need patience. Some discover confidence through achievement, while others need to feel safe before they are willing to participate.

That understanding became part of the philosophy behind Evergreen Stars.

Building More Than a Sports Club

The growth of Evergreen Stars to seven UAE branches represents a significant evolution from Ameera’s original classroom environment.

Yet she has deliberately resisted defining the club only through football.

The sporting environment becomes the teaching tool.

A child learns to arrive on time. To listen to a coach. To work with teammates. To handle losing. To celebrate someone else’s success. To return after a disappointing performance.

These may look like ordinary moments on a football field.

For a child, they can become lessons that remain useful for decades.

That is why Ameera’s vision places mental and emotional development alongside physical activity.

The objective is not simply to produce better players.

It is to help develop healthier, happier and more confident young people.

The Perspective of a Teacher and a Mother

Ameera’s understanding of children is also shaped by motherhood.

As a mother of three, she knows that parents do not see a sports session simply as an hour of activity.

They see their child’s confidence.

They notice whether their child feels included.

They worry about safety, friendships, progress and whether their son or daughter is enjoying the experience.

That perspective changes how a sports entrepreneur sees the business.

Every child entering the field arrives with a different personality and a different story.

For Ameera, creating a caring environment is therefore as important as creating a strong training programme.

The result is a model where coaches are expected to guide children with patience, responsibility and skill, while parents can see development happening beyond physical performance.

Where Education Meets Entrepreneurship

The transition from teacher to founder is one of the most interesting parts of Ameera’s journey.

Teaching and entrepreneurship may appear unrelated, but both require the ability to understand people.

A teacher must communicate.

A founder must communicate.

A teacher builds an environment where learning can happen.

A founder builds an organisation where people can perform.

A teacher measures progress over time.

A founder learns that meaningful business growth is also built gradually.

Ameera has carried those lessons from one world into another.

Her classroom may now be an open field, but the underlying responsibility remains the same: help someone become more capable than they were yesterday.

The Values Behind Evergreen Stars

The strongest youth sports programmes often teach lessons that have little to do with the final score.

Evergreen Stars is built around values including discipline, teamwork, respect, consistency and self-belief.

Those principles become especially meaningful when children encounter difficulty.

A missed goal teaches persistence.

A disagreement with a teammate teaches communication.

A difficult training session teaches commitment.

A loss teaches perspective.

And a small improvement can teach a child something perhaps even more valuable: progress is possible.

This is where Ameera’s educational background gives her vision a distinctive foundation.

She understands that childhood development cannot be reduced to results.

Sometimes the greatest achievement is a child who simply starts believing they can do something they were once afraid to attempt.

The Future of Ameera VK’s Vision

As Evergreen Stars continues to develop across the UAE, Ameera’s larger ambition remains rooted in the same philosophy that shaped her teaching career.

Create an environment where children can grow.

The football may change.

The branches may expand.

The teams may become larger.

But the central mission remains consistent.

Ameera VK is not trying to replace the classroom with sport. She is showing how sport can become another classroom, one where children learn through movement, teamwork, challenge and experience.

That may ultimately become her most meaningful achievement.

Because trophies eventually gather dust.

Scores disappear from memory.

But the confidence a child develops when someone believes in them can last a lifetime.

Ameera began by teaching children science.

Today, she is teaching them something broader: how to work together, face challenges, stay committed and believe in themselves.

The classroom simply got a little bigger.
