Adelaide weather forecast for Saturday November 7 and the days ahead

Adelaide is in for a fairly settled start to the week, with a cool Saturday giving way to a warmer spell before cloud and a slight shower risk return by midweek. For locals, that means a pleasant Sunday, a warmer Monday, and a run of generally mild November weather that should still leave beach walks, markets and outdoor plans mostly on track.

Today stays partly cloudy across Adelaide, with a top of 20 degrees in the city after a cool start and southerly winds turning southeasterly through the morning. It’s not a washout by any stretch, with just a 5 per cent chance of rain, but the cooler breeze will keep things feeling fresh, especially around the coast and hills. Sunday brings the pick of the early forecast, with sunny skies and a warmer top of 25 degrees after a chilly minimum of 9. Easterly winds will pick up early, but overall it looks like a bright and comfortable day across the metro area.

By Monday, Adelaide warms further to 28 degrees, though the settled feel starts to soften. Partly cloudy conditions are expected, along with a medium chance of showers during the morning and afternoon. Rainfall totals look light, if anything arrives at all, but it may be one of those days where you’ll want to keep an umbrella handy without expecting much disruption. Northeasterly winds will build after an easterly start, adding to the warmer feel.

Tuesday marks the beginning of a cooler shift, with the city forecast to reach 25 degrees under partly cloudy skies before becoming cloudier later in the day. Winds will swing from the northeast to a south to southwesterly change, which should be the main thing Adelaide residents notice as the day goes on. That cooler run settles in by Wednesday, when cloudy conditions return and there’s a slight chance of a shower, with the top dropping to 21 degrees.

The second half of the week looks relatively steady. Thursday should be partly cloudy with a top of 24 degrees, while Friday stays in similar territory with another partly cloudy day and a maximum of 25. There’s no major wet weather signal in the city through the seven-day outlook, so Adelaide’s forecast is more about subtle shifts in temperature, cloud cover and wind direction than any dramatic change.

Across regional South Australia, the picture is more varied. Light morning showers are possible around agricultural areas on Saturday, while showers and thunderstorms become more likely in the west, particularly in the far northwest during the afternoon. On Sunday, frost patches are possible in the southeast, while showers and thunderstorms in the west may extend into central districts later in the day. Monday brings the most active inland conditions, with possible showers or thunderstorms across the pastoral districts and nearby agricultural areas as warmer air builds ahead of a fresh southwest to southerly change moving into western parts. By Tuesday, that storm risk contracts to the far north and northeast, while the southwest turns cooler behind the change. Rainfall totals are generally expected to stay low across the state, though the North West Pastoral and South East districts could see a little more, and isolated thunderstorm falls may be heavier in some pockets.

For coastal communities and anyone heading offshore, Adelaide Metropolitan Waters remain relatively manageable through the weekend and into early next week, though winds strengthen on Tuesday as a southwesterly change moves through and seas build to 1 to 1.5 metres during the afternoon.
