Someone in Adelaide is about to have a very, very good week.
A mystery South Australian has scored a life-changing $2,055,945.72 in Saturday’s X Lotto, after holding one of just three division one winning tickets drawn nationally on April 25th.
The unregistered winning ticket was purchased at NewsXpress Sefton Plaza in Sefton Park, meaning lottery officials are now waiting for the lucky ticketholder to come forward and claim their multi-million-dollar prize.
If the winner had registered their ticket with The Lott Members Club, they would already be celebrating. Instead, there could be a very ordinary-looking ticket sitting in a wallet, handbag, glovebox, or tucked into the kitchen junk drawer right now.
NewsXpress Sefton Plaza owner Linkin Yang said, “I felt super excited and couldn’t believe what I saw when I first found out. The last time we sold a division one winning entry was nine years ago – roughly a month after my oldest daughter was born. Guess what? Today is her birthday!!
“We’ve sold another two division one tickets over the years and both were in Saturday X Lotto too. This is the biggest prize we’ve sold, and I can’t imagine how happy the winner will be when he or she finds out this life changing news!

The Lott spokesperson Matt Hart is urging anyone who purchased a ticket from the Sefton Park outlet to check it immediately.
“Our elusive winner is likely oblivious to the fact they won more than $2 million in the weekend’s Saturday X Lotto draw,” he said. “We’re encouraging anyone who purchased a Saturday X Lotto ticket from newsXpress Sefton Plaza to check their tickets today!
“Just imagine how exhilarating it would be to discover you’ve won division one! Your plans for the rest of the year and into the future would quickly change!
“Make sure you check your tickets, Adelaide! If you discover you are holding the winning ticket, contact The Lott on 131 868 to begin the exciting prize claim process.”
The winning numbers in Saturday X Lotto draw 4671 were 45, 12, 17, 3, 11 and 14, with supplementary numbers 32 and 21.
Across Australia, three division one winning entries were drawn, with one each in Queensland, New South Wales and South Australia.
So Adelaide, consider this your official reminder, check your pockets, check your car, check that mysterious pile of receipts on the kitchen bench. Two million dollars is a pretty compelling reason.
