Abu Dhabi Sports Council has won two awards at the International Sports Convention Awards 2026, with its ADNOC Abu Dhabi Marathon and Active Hub programme both recognised in London.
The awards were announced during the International Sports Convention, held at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the United Kingdom.
The Council won the Diversity and Inclusion award for the ADNOC Abu Dhabi Marathon 2025. The event has become one of Abu Dhabi’s main mass-participation races, drawing runners from the UAE and abroad.
Its appeal also comes from its range of race distances, which gives experienced runners, casual runners and first-time participants a route into the event.
The Council also received the Professional Services award for Active Hub, a community sport programme built around regular physical activity.
Active Hub runs across 23 centres in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Al Dhafra. It offers sports programmes and activities for different age groups, with the aim of helping more people build exercise into daily life.
The two awards recognise Abu Dhabi Sports Council’s work in staging major events while also supporting year-round community participation across the emirate.
