Calling all Beatniks! If you love the boy band from the United Kingdom that stole people’s hearts in the 1960s at the height of the flower power movement, then get ready to sing along and dance in the aisles. Beatlemania, the critically acclaimed The Beatles tribute band from Europe, will perform at Sir Mutha Venkatasubba Rao Concert Hall, Lady Andal School on November 11. They will proceed to tour other cities in India including Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Goa in November.
Beatlemania is one of the world’s leading and longest-running tribute bands, with over 30 years of touring experience. When a new show, The Magic of The Beatles was conceptualised in 2009, Beatlemania became the original lead cast and creative partners, making them an instant global smash hit.
Beatlemania features a cast that not only look and sound like John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr, but also generates the same excitement that was the trademark of this band instrumental in creating a musical revolution. The Beatles’ unique sense of humour is thrown in for good measure too.
The current lineup of Beatlemania is Michael Giagliano as John Lennon, Lee Fuller as Paul McCartney, Nasar Hodson as George Harrison and Brad Brunsdon as Ringo Starr. Dave Peterson, who started the band in 1992, says that a number of changes have been implemented since the band began. The current cast came together about five years ago, he says.
They have performed a number of times at The Cavern Club, the birthplace of The Beatles, in Liverpool. “It is great there, but very hot inside! The vibe is magical, though!” says Dave.

Over the years, the band has performed mostly in Europe, West Asia, Russia, the USA, South America, Japan, and Malaysia. Dave adds that they have performed for celebrities like Stella McCartney, David and Victoria Beckham, Tiger Woods, Liverpool FC, Manchester United, Boris Johnson and several others. Although they have performed in India on three occasions, the crowd has been limited to corporate shows. “This is our first live tour. Indian audiences are great, and, amazingly, they know all the songs,” he says.
‘Hey Jude’, ‘Here Comes the Sun’, and ‘Come Together’ are the most requested songs on the tour, Dave says. Beatlemania will perform almost all The Beatles hits, including ‘She Loves You’, ‘A Hard Day’s Night’, ‘Help!’, ‘I Feel Fine’, ‘Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band’, ‘Hey Jude’, ‘Here Comes the Sun’, ‘Get Back’ and so many more non-stop chart toppers.
After the tour in India, they are headed back to the UK for their Christmas shows in London, Manchester, Newcastle, and Glasgow.
Beatlemania’s India tour includes shows in Chennai on November 11, Bangalore on November 12, Goa on November 13 and 14; and Hyderabad on November 15. For tickets priced ₹500 and above, premiertickets.co
