This Maharashtra Teacher Is Rethinking Education

This Maharashtra Teacher Is Rethinking Education

What if a petrol pump, puncture shop or even a pond could become a classroom? ❤️

For 31 years, teacher Ujjwala Wadekar has taken education beyond textbooks and four walls in Pathri, Maharashtra. Her students learn through real-life experiences, from repairing punctures to cooking rotis, gaining practical skills that prepare them for life beyond school.

But her teaching doesn’t stop at the classroom. Ujjwala regularly visits students’ homes, works closely with parents and understands the challenges each child faces. The result? Better attendance, stronger parent-school relationships and more confident young learners.

Because sometimes, the best classroom isn’t a classroom at all. 📚✨
