How Farida Shamoyeva Turned Dubai Real Estate Into Her Home

How Farida Shamoyeva Turned Dubai Real Estate Into Her Home

Long before Farida Shamoyeva understood the word entrepreneurship, she was already looking for an opportunity.

At five years old, while other children were simply playing outside, Farida discovered that empty glass bottles could be collected and exchanged for coins. She quickly organized the neighborhood children into a tiny operation, turning discarded bottles into money.

It sounds almost amusing in retrospect.

But there was something revealing in that childhood game: Farida was already searching for independence.

That instinct stayed with her. As a teenager, while friends enjoyed summer holidays, she chose sales and travel agency work. She did not need the money. She wanted the experience of earning it herself, speaking with people and discovering what she could create through her own effort.

Years later, that same instinct would become the foundation of her career in Dubai real estate.

From a Young Agent to Dubai Real Estate Veteran

Farida’s first real estate experience came at just 17 or 18 in Almaty, Kazakhstan, working with a small agency alongside friends.

She loved the freedom immediately. Every day was different. There were new people to meet, negotiations to navigate and opportunities to pursue.

After moving to Dubai for university, she temporarily stepped away from the industry before returning professionally in 2011.

The Dubai she entered then was dramatically different from today’s global property powerhouse.

She built her client base through cold emails, property searches, rentals and sales, learning the business from the ground up. And there was one obstacle she encountered repeatedly: people underestimated her.

She was young, had a soft voice and looked even younger than she was.

Instead of fighting that perception emotionally, Farida turned it into fuel.

She learned her market deeply. She prepared more carefully. She understood that credibility had to be earned through knowledge and results.

Being underestimated became an unexpected advantage.

The Decision to Come Home Again

Farida eventually moved into business development and spent time in Europe while completing her master’s degree.

But Dubai never really disappeared from her story.

At 30, she made a deliberate decision to return and rebuild her life in the city from the ground up.

This time, everything was different.

She wanted professional growth, but she also wanted stability. She bought her own property. Her child was born in Dubai. The city was no longer simply the place where she worked.

It became home.

That personal connection has shaped her approach to the market. Having experienced different cycles, including the 2008 financial crisis and subsequent periods of extraordinary growth and correction, Farida understands that Dubai real estate is not a single story.

Markets change. Strategies change. What remains valuable is the ability to understand the cycle and make decisions beyond the noise of the moment.

Choosing Relationships Over Aggression

Farida’s philosophy challenges one of real estate’s oldest stereotypes.

She does not believe success requires becoming a “shark.”

Throughout her career, she has been told that she should be tougher or more aggressive. She knows that this approach may have cost her certain transactions.

She is comfortable with that.

For Farida, the best real estate advisor is not the person who closes the fastest deal. It is the person who understands what the client actually needs and is willing to say when a property is not right.

That philosophy has become especially important as she continues building her own Dubai property portfolio.

She wants to approach a client’s money with the same responsibility she applies to her own investments.

In her world, trust is not a marketing strategy.

It is the business.

Building a Personal Brand Beyond Property

Farida is now entering another chapter, one that extends beyond individual transactions.

She is strengthening her personal brand and using social media to share her experience, educate audiences about Dubai real estate and build a community around her perspective.

Her podcast, Business Lounge in Dubai, adds another dimension to that vision. Through conversations with entrepreneurs and leaders about business, lifestyle and mindfulness, she is creating a platform that connects property with the broader world of modern entrepreneurship.

The ambition is clear: combine real estate, investment, media and personal branding into something larger than a traditional property career.

A Legacy Built on Being the Right Agent

Farida does not want to be the right agent for everyone.

She wants to be the right agent for her people.

That distinction may ultimately become one of the most important parts of her legacy.

She wants clients to remember her not for how aggressively she sold, but for how carefully she advised. Not for the number of transactions she closed, but for the relationships that lasted afterward.

Her greatest lesson has been that consistency often matters more than talent. A strong relationship means little if you disappear when the opportunity arrives.

Today, follow-up and staying present are central to her approach.

The little girl collecting bottles for coins could not have known where that instinct for independence would lead.

But the pattern has remained remarkably consistent.

Find an opportunity. Work for it. Build something of your own. Keep showing up.

Farida Shamoyeva has spent decades applying that philosophy to Dubai, transforming a teenage interest in real estate into a career, an investment strategy, a home and now a personal brand.

Her next chapter is not simply about selling Dubai property.

It is about building something that lasts.
