WIN News farewells Steve Hart as Georgia Elsley joins presenter lineup
WIN Network has announced veteran news presenter Steve Hart will deliver his final bulletin on Friday, bringing to a close a journalism career spanning several decades across Australia’s major television networks.
During his time at WIN, Hart became a familiar face for viewers, recognised for his work in journalism and his role presenting the network’s news coverage.

WIN National Director of News Stella Lauri said Hart had made a lasting contribution to Australian television news.
“Steve Hart represents everything great journalism should be.
His passion for chasing stories never faded, and that determination, professionalism and genuine care for the communities he served made him one of Australia’s most respected journalists.
While we are incredibly sad to see Steve go, we are enormously grateful for the experience, knowledge and leadership he has shared with our newsrooms during his time with us.

At the same time, WIN News has confirmed Georgia Elsley has joined its presentation team.
Already known to viewers across Australia through her work with the WIN Network, the company said Elsley had quickly become a valued member of the newsroom.
Lauri said the appointment reflected the network’s focus on developing journalism talent.
“Georgia’s professionalism, warmth and calm presence have resonated strongly with viewers across the country, and we are delighted to welcome her into this new role.
She represents the future of regional television news, and we know our audiences will continue to embrace her.”
Elsley said she was honoured to take on the position while acknowledging the career of the presenter she is succeeding.
