Every celebration at Gaurav Poddar and Raadhya Agrawal’s wedding unfolded as an immersive experience, with each event bringing a distinct aesthetic and atmosphere while flowing seamlessly into the next. Designed by WeddingSutra Favorite – SoulScapes Design, the festivities were rooted in storytelling, where bespoke décor, layered textures and thoughtful details transformed every venue into its own captivating world. Reflecting on the creative vision, Aastha Maheshwari of SoulScapes Design shares, “We wanted every celebration to feel like its own world, with a story that guests could step into. Every detail, from the architecture to the styling, was designed to evoke emotion while reflecting the couple’s personality in an elevated, immersive way.”
The festivities began with ‘The Enchanted Eden’ cocktail soirée, where the venue was transformed into a mystical twilight garden. Saturated in jewel tones of sapphire, violet and magenta, the space balanced untamed natural beauty with refined elegance. A striking custom-illustrated wallpaper depicting a secret forest became the visual focal point, enveloping the lounge spaces in an artistic narrative. Moss-laden centrepieces, glowing taper candles and playful parrot figurines completed the tablescapes, creating an enchanting setting that transported guests into a magical evening.
For the Haldi, ‘The Sunflower Edit’ offered a refreshing, contemporary interpretation of the traditional ceremony. Sunflowers took centre stage in abundant floral installations, delicate hanging shola blooms and oversized handcrafted accents that framed the open terrace with warmth and cheer. The whimsical inverted sunflower canopy became the defining feature, sheltering the ceremony beneath its sculptural petals. Plush lavender seating, botanical prints, pastel architectural arches and colour-blocked lounges added a sophisticated contrast to the rustic floral palette, while charming details such as rattan accents, block printed décor and lemon-inspired stationery infused the celebration with playful personality.
The Sangeet unfolded as ‘The Traveller’s Speakeasy’, drawing inspiration from vintage exploration and old-world glamour. Rich burgundy, crimson and gold tones set an intimate mood, complemented by hand-painted jungle murals, geometric wallpapers and plush velvet lounges. Vintage trunks, globes, brass phonographs and wildlife figurines turned every corner into a collector’s display, while dramatic floral arrangements featuring cascading grapes and pomegranates added depth to the tablescapes. Crystal chandeliers, glowing arches and flickering red candles heightened the ambience, leading guests towards a grand staircase overflowing with crimson and pink blooms that served as the evening’s dramatic centrepiece.
The Myra ceremony embraced heritage-inspired elegance through ‘Gerua’, a celebration steeped in earthy warmth. Terracotta, marigold and peach hues framed a stage adorned with scalloped arches and intricate Pichwai-inspired panels that echoed the grandeur of traditional courtyards. Banana leaves, marigolds and lilies added vibrant botanical layers, while cascading floral arrangements flowing from tilted brass urlis introduced movement across the space. Gota patti fans, stacks of colourful glass bangles and bespoke stationery featuring royal elephant motifs completed the setting, honouring timeless traditions through a contemporary lens.
For the wedding, ‘Saanjh’ reimagined regal architecture through a palette of blush, ivory and muted gold. Inspired by Rajasthani heritage, ornate arches, intricate jharokhas and delicate jali work established a soft palatial backdrop that felt both timeless and understated. The mandap emerged as an elegant open pavilion, adorned with graceful architectural curves and traditional bird motifs. Mirrored white horses, brass elephants and Kamadhenu sculptures enriched the lounges and tablescapes with symbolic grandeur, while chandeliers, crystal candelabras, lotus votives and candlelight layered the venue with warmth, allowing the celebration to unfold with quiet sophistication.
The celebrations concluded with ‘Mehfil-e-Dil’, an intimate Sufi evening inspired by Mughal splendour and Moroccan artistry. A canopy of fairy lights, brass lanterns and glowing candles bathed the venue in a warm golden glow, while neutral tones accented with antique gold created a serene yet luxurious atmosphere. Persian rugs, low seating and richly textured divans encouraged guests to gather, converse and soak in the soulful performances. Cascading mogra and rajnigandha arrangements, elegant calligraphy and personalised accents completed a setting that felt immersive, romantic and deeply evocative.
Reflecting on the celebrations, Aastha Maheshwari adds, “We aimed to ensure every event felt visually distinct while remaining connected through thoughtful storytelling and craftsmanship. We wanted guests to leave not just remembering the décor, but the emotions each space evoked.”
