For Pooja Jain, founder of WeddingSutra Favorite – Akaso Events, creating meaningful moments for couples has long been a part of her profession. Earlier this year, however, it was her own love story that took centre stage when Daksh Gupta planned a heartfelt proposal in Krabi, Thailand. Set against the region’s striking limestone cliffs, quiet beaches, and endless ocean views, the proposal reflected everything the couple values most: simplicity, authenticity, and a deep connection built over nearly a decade together.
How They Met
Pooja and Daksh first met in college nine years ago. What began as a friendship gradually evolved into a relationship rooted in trust, companionship, and shared dreams. Over the years, they grew together through every phase of life, supporting one another not just as partners but also as entrepreneurs building a business in the wedding industry.
The Proposal
During a holiday in Thailand, Daksh decided to mark the next chapter of their journey together. Knowing Pooja’s love for understated, meaningful moments, he planned a proposal that felt true to her personality.
On a quiet beach in Krabi, with the sea stretching into the horizon and dramatic limestone formations rising in the background, Daksh got down on one knee and asked Pooja to marry him.
