Lemonade Stand Investigation Update: 14-year-old Male Arrested for Armed Robbery and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm in South Boston

Investigation Update: On June 12, 2026, detectives assigned to District C-6 (South Boston) arrested a 14-year-old juvenile male in South Boston. The suspect is expected to be arraigned in Boston Juvenile Court on charges of Delinquent to wit; Armed Robbery (two counts) and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm (two counts).

The facts and circumstances of the initial incident are as follows:

At approximately 4:44 PM on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, officers assigned to District C-6 (South Boston) responded to a radio call for an armed robbery in the area of West Ninth Street in South Boston.

Upon arrival, officers spoke to the victims, two children who had been operating a lemonade stand at the aforementioned location. The victims stated that the unknown suspects made several passes by the stand before approaching and asking whether Apple Pay would be accepted as payment.

Before the victims could respond, the suspects grabbed a box containing U.S. currency. One suspect then displayed a black firearm in his waistband before both individuals fled the area.
