Plenty of fans were caught off guard by the Cleveland Browns trading Myles Garrett to the Los Angeles Rams, including WWE Superstar The Miz, who was then trolled by former Superstar and current AEW wrestler Swerve Strickland.
The Miz posted a picture of himself in disbelief over the Garrett news on X, formerly Twitter. He couldn’t believe it, writing, “Not Myles. Anyone. But. Myles. Before the Draft, I buried the season. After the Draft, I believed again…”
Strickland then posted a GIF of quarterback Matthew Stafford waving after winning the Super Bowl in response to the “A-Lister’s” post.

It might be a long season for the Browns, who are rebuilding. They are entering year two with Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders as their quarterbacks, and Deshaun Watson is presumably coming back as well. Now, they will be without their best edge rusher.

Garrett was the first-overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft by the Browns. He spent his first nine years in Cleveland, garnering seven Pro Bowl nods and two NFL Defensive Player of the Year awards.
The trade wasn’t that surprising, given that Garrett has voiced his discontent in the past. However, he was coming off a record-setting year, during which he logged 23 sacks. Impressively, he has had double-digit sacks every season since his second year in the league.
The trade was made official on Monday, June 1, 2026. The reigning NFL sack leader was sent to Los Angeles in exchange for Jared Verse and several NFL Draft picks. These include a first-rounder in 2027, a second-rounder in 2028, and a third-rounder in 2029.
It appears the Rams are going all-in in 2026. Earlier in the offseason, they traded for Trent McDuffie from the Kansas City Chiefs. They also drafted new offensive weapons like Max Klare and CJ Daniels in the 2026 NFL Draft.
