The Los Angeles Rams just pulled off the trade of the century with the Cleveland Browns. Myles Garrett is headed to the Rams in a deal that is among biggest trades in NFL history. Both teams have officially agreed to terms on this huge trade.
The full trade terms for Monday’s blockbuster Rams-Browns deal is finally here. Rams will send edge rusher Jared Verse, a 2027 first-round pick, a 2028 second-round pick, and a 2029 third-round pick in exchange for Garrett, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
LA adds a two-time Defensive Player of the Year to their star-studded defense while Cleveland adds more ammunition for their rebuild.
Schefter added that Garrett is one of the rare NFL players who has a no-trade clause in his contract. He was willing to waive that clause to be traded to Los Angeles. Garrett will retain his no-trade clause with the Rams.
Cleveland got a great return for Garrett. Verse is a talented, young edge rusher on a rookie contract. He may not be Garrett, but Verse will become a foundational piece on Cleveland’s defensive line.
Now the Browns will have two first-round picks in what should be a loaded 2027 NFL Draft. Analysts expect several quarterbacks to go off the board in the first round, including elite prospects like Dante Moore and Arch Manning.
If Cleveland can use those picks to move up for a franchise quarterback, then the Garrett trade will be well worth it.
Meanwhile, the Rams are used to building their team without making picks in the first round. Losing Verse and multiple draft picks will hurt, but gaining Garrett is well worth that investment.
Los Angeles is bound to be the talk of the NFL in 2026 after adding Garrett to their loaded roster.
