The Seven Network will again broadcast the Four’N Twenty Legends Game for Prostate Cancer in 2026, following the success of last year’s return which drew more than 2.3 million Australians and raised over $1 million for the Australian Prostate Centre.
The charity match will air live and free on Seven and 7plus Sport on Thursday, 27 August 2026, with Marvel Stadium once again hosting the clash between Victoria and the All Stars in the lead-up to the AFL’s inaugural Wildcard Round.
The announcement comes after the event’s highly successful revival in 2025, when the Legends Game returned after a six-year absence and attracted a crowd of 31,320 fans to Marvel Stadium.

Last year’s match delivered both nostalgia and entertainment, with stars including Cyril Rioli, Gary Ablett Jr, Nick Riewoldt, Erin Phillips, Andrew McLeod, Luke Hodge, Brendan Fevola, Dane Swan, Bob Murphy and Steve Johnson taking part.
The All Stars, captained by Nick Riewoldt and coached by Shane Crawford, defeated Victoria by eight points after a late comeback, winning 3.13.7 (112) to 3.11.11 (104). Dan Gorringe kicked the winning goal, while Cyril Rioli earned best-on-ground honours after an eye-catching performance that included a long-range goal on the half-time siren.
The broadcast also proved a major ratings success for Seven, recording an average national total TV audience of 879,000, alongside 130,000 viewers streaming on 7plus Sport.
The event raised vital funds for prostate cancer research and patient care through the Australian Prostate Centre, while continuing the legacy of late football great E.J. Whitten Sr, whose advocacy helped bring national attention to the disease.
The night also generated headlines after comedian Dave Hughes, who played for Victoria, was hospitalised with five broken ribs and a punctured lung following several heavy collisions during the game.
Despite that incident, the event’s return was widely seen as a success, prompting Seven and organisers to quickly move on plans for a 2026 edition.

Gary O’Keeffe, Seven’s Head of AFL and Sport Innovation, said the strong audience response confirmed Australians still had a deep affection for the event.
“The return of the Four’N Twenty Legends Game for Prostate Cancer delivered incredible ratings results for Seven in 2025 – making it abundantly clear just how much Australians missed the iconic match.
“We are proud to play a part in delivering this spectacle to fans all over the country, while working closely with our partners to raise vital funds for the Australian Prostate Centre,” he said.
“We look forward to seeing which stars of yesteryear don the Big V and the All Stars guernseys on one of the most entertaining nights on the football calendar.”
The annual match has long been one of Australian football’s most recognisable charity events, bringing together retired AFL stars, media personalities and fans to raise awareness around prostate cancer.
Organisers are expected to reveal the full playing line-ups closer to the match, with anticipation already building over which former AFL names will return for the 2026 contest.
Four’N Twenty Legends Game for Prostate Cancer airs Thursday, 27 August 2026, live and free on Seven and 7plus Sport from Marvel Stadium.
