Western Sydney Wanderers have secure the future of one of their most promising young talents, rewarding Frida Karaberis with a new three-year contract.
Karaberis joined the Wanderers Academy as a 14-year-old last year and has been identified as an outstanding emerging talent by club officials.
The attack-minded midfielder has progressed quickly through the club’s development system, gaining valuable experience, and is now on the cusp of the first team.

Wanderers Head Coach Geoff Abrahams said Karaberis’ mentality and approach have stood out since joining the club.
“Frida has a great mentality that really separates her from others in her age group,” said Abrahams.
“She approaches every training session with maturity, focus and a strong willingness to learn.
“She’s a very exciting long-term prospect for this football club.”
At international level, Karaberis is a regular selection in CommBank Junior Matildas squads and is currently representing Australia at the AFC U-17 Women’s Asian Cup China 2026™, highlighting her status as one of the country’s most promising young players in her age group.

Karaberis said the Wanderers environment has played an important role in her early development.
“I think it’s a great place to develop as a young player, one of the best in the country,” said Karaberis.
“Being around experienced players helps me learn something new every day and improve my game.
“I want to keep developing, get more experience in a professional environment, and continue being selected for national camps so I can keep improving.”
Karaberis also acknowledged the support of fans and her wider support network.
