Introducing the Cayenne Coupé Electric, the newest electric Porsche

The Cayenne family just welcomed another electric sister – introducing the Cayenne Coupé Electric.

We were only recently introduced to the Cayenne Electric, which of course has not yet hit roads. Now, we’re meeting Porsche’s next innovation in design. Unveiled at Auto China 2026, the new Porsche Cayenne Coupé Electric is about making a statement — blending performance, design and everyday usability into one striking package.

Taking its cues from the iconic shape of the Porsche 911, the Cayenne Coupé Electric adopts the brand’s signature “flyline” roof — a gently sloping silhouette that transforms the traditionally SUV into something more sculptural. It’s a design move wasn’t simply aesthetic; it improves aerodynamics too, helping the model achieve an impressive drag coefficient (just 0.23) and boosting driving range of the electric battery.

“The gently sloping roofline sweeps elegantly over the car’s broad shoulders and gives the Cayenne Coupé a particularly sporty appearance,” says Thomas Stopka, Head of Exterior Design, Style Porsche.

“Precisely drawn lines, wide proportions and high-gloss black side window strips form a design that exudes sportiness in every detail. Extroverted and clearly positioned, the new Cayenne Coupé Electric is a sports car through and through,” says Stopka.

Three variants will be available at launch; the Cayenne Coupé Electric, the Cayenne S Coupé Electric and the Cayenne Turbo Coupé Electric. The Turbo is capable of 0–100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds. These are supercar territory stats in rarely seen in a prestige and spacious SUV.

Inside, the cabin is modern and tech-forward. A fully digital cockpit, optional passenger display and augmented reality head-up display offer an experience that feels innovative and experiential. Yet Porsche hasn’t abandoned tactile elements. Digital interfaces are blended with physical controls for a more intuitive feel. Drivers can customise display layouts, integrate apps and tailor the environment to suit their preferences — a nod to just how intertwined lifestyle and technology are and should be.

Despite its sporty profile, the Cayenne Coupé Electric is pragmatic; ample boot space, flexible rear seating and a towing capacity of up to 3.5 tonnes mean this is a function experience as well as a luxurious one.

For those who value the details, the optional Lightweight Sport Package offer an edge. Think carbon-fibre accents, a lightweight roof and bold 22-inch wheels — alongside interior touches like heritage-inspired Pepita fabric and Race-Tex finishes.

With a driving range of up to 669 kilometres (WLTP) and ultra-fast charging capability, the Cayenne Coupé Electric signals a shift in how we think about electric vehicles. A paradigm where efficiency is balanced alongside identity. The Cayenne Coupé Electric is modern, clean but with a heritage sports edge that draws from the core design codes Porsche is so renowned for.

The Cayenne Coupé Electric and it’s variants are now available to order.
