The opening 11 minutes of the L’etoile de Paris en Fleur anime film have been officially released on YouTube.
The footage includes the first meeting between the story’s two leads, and also features 2D animated ballet, an unbroken cut of stylized animation, shots of the Parisian landscape, and more.
L’etoile de Paris en Fleur, which started screening in Japan on March 13, is set in the early 20th century and follows Fujiko Tsuguta and Chizuru, two girls who reunite in Paris years after a coincidental first meeting while in pursuit of their respective dreams of art and ballet. ONE PIECE FILM RED and Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion‘s Goro Taniguchi directed the original film at Arvo Production, with Katsuya Kondo (Kiki’s Delivery Service and Ocean Waves character designer) as original character designer and main animator and Yuji Kaneko (Tengoku Daimakyo) as background art director.
