More than 50 cars were engulfed by flames at an insurance automobile auction yard in Templeton on Thursday morning, authorities said.
Firefighters responded around 2 a.m. to a reported fire at Insurance Auto Auctions at 223 Baldwinville Road, a spokesperson for the Templeton Fire Department said.
When crews arrived, about a dozen vehicles were on fire, the Gardner Fire Department said in a Facebook post.
The blaze ultimately spread to between 50 and 60 vehicles, all of which were destroyed, officials said.

Firefighters brought the blaze under control and cleared the scene by about 6 a.m. No injuries were reported, according to Templeton fire officials.
Insurance Auto Auctions had listed an auction for 8:30 a.m. Thursday on its website, but a company spokesperson told Boston.com that there were no auctions Thursday morning.
The spokesperson declined to comment further on the incident.
Authorities said the incident remains under investigation.
