Dubai Sports Council says 43 young footballers were identified for their performances during its Summer Football Academies tournament at Dubai Sports World.
The competition brought together 468 players from 39 nationalities, with 26 teams competing across the Under-10, Under-11 and Under-12 age groups.
A total of 98 matches were played at Dubai World Trade Centre as private academies and local clubs used the tournament to give players competitive football during the summer and prepare for the 2026-27 season.
The Council said 43 players were identified for their technical ability during the event, although no details were given about the selection process or what the next stage will be for those players.
The tournament is part of Dubai Sports Council’s work with youth football and local academies, providing younger players with regular competition outside the main season.
Adel Al Bannai, Head of the Football Companies Section at Dubai Sports Council, presented trophies and medals to the leading teams at the closing ceremony.
“This tournament is our commitment to organizing events that provide young players with continuous opportunities to compete and develop,” Al Bannai said.
“Our focus is on discovering promising football talents and providing them with the ideal environment to advance their sporting careers. This ultimately supports the future of football in Dubai and contributes to preparing a new generation of elite players.”
SOFA finished first in the Under-10 Gold competition, ahead of Shabab Al Ahli, Al Nasr and Al Wasl.
Al Nasr won the Under-10 Silver division, with Hatta second, followed by Al Furjan, Al Fareej and AFC.
Shabab Al Ahli took the Under-11 Gold title, finishing ahead of Al Wasl, Al Nasr and Barca Academy Dubai. Al Nasr B won the Silver competition, followed by Al Furjan, Hatta and Real Madrid Academy.
Fursan Hispania claimed first place in the Under-12 Gold competition, with Al Wasl second, Al Nasr third and Al Furjan fourth.
Shabab Al Ahli completed the age-group results by winning the Under-12 Silver division ahead of Sama Sport, Al Fareej and Hatta.
