At Bandra’s newest bar, you’re greeted with cocktails poured from a punch bowl along with stuffed olives as your welcome drink, a groovy playlist that millennials will gladly relate to and a fuss-free vibe with bartenders singing along as they stir and shake cocktails. Punchline, from the team behind Delhi’s Barbet & Pals, promises an easygoing experience with a focus on the near-forgotten punch (also considered one of the world’s oldest cocktails), which finds its origins in India, derived from the word ‘paanch’. Jeet Rana and Chirag Pal head the cocktail programme with cheekily named tipples like Pop The Cherry, featuring mahua and sour cherry or Peeling Good, which spotlights spiced rum, banana ice cream and coconut foam. Chef Amninder Sandhu helms the tightly curated food menu, with plates including crispy arbi with tender coconut, prawns with a spicy Malvani crumble and charcoal-dunked steak. Round off the experience with a selection of boozy desserts.
