Two Quebec residents were seriously injured Monday afternoon when their motorcycle struck a deer in northern New Hampshire, throwing them from the bike.

State Police responded to the crash on Route 3 south in Pittsburg just before 1 p.m., according to a release.

The man, who was operating the 2002 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide, was flown in a medical helicopter to a Maine hospital, police said. The woman, his passenger, was taken to a local hospital. Both were wearing helmets.
