If you’re still dreaming of a Euro summer, long afternoons in the sun, Aperol Spritz in hand, Club Lago is bringing a little slice of Lake Como back to Adelaide this spring.

Morphettville’s trackside day club is making a comeback on October 10 serving up another season of open-air bars, DJs and unforgettable afternoons in the sunshine.

After closing across the cooler months, the venue will reopen just as Adelaide starts warming up, giving you an excuse to gather the group and dress up for the afternoon without needing to book a flight.

“The design gives Club Lago a distinct identity within Morphettville and creates a sense of stepping into a different destination, while still being connected to everything happening across the racecourse,” said Theresa White, Head of Marketing, PR & Communications.

Inspired by the picturesque day clubs of Europe, Club Lago combines outdoor bars, shared social spaces and live entertainment within its Morphettville setting. Perfect for a birthday, catch-up or simply an excuse to spend a Saturday outside, it’s the kind of place made for spending the whole afternoon.

“Some guests come primarily for the racing, while others are looking for a social day out with friends, great hospitality and entertainment. Club Lago allows us to cater to both and gives people another reason to spend a day at Morphettville.”

Demand for Club Lago has been exceptionally strong, with VIP cabanas and lounges across Spring Carnival close to selling out and VIP cabanas and lounges for Twilight Races already completely booked out. Guests can still enjoy Club Lago without a VIP booking, with the venue designed to offer a vibrant and social experience for all guests.

Club Lago’s reopening coincides with the beginning of the 2026 Spring Carnival at Morphettville, running across six major days from October 10 to November 7.

And no carnival is complete without the right soundtrack.

“One of the things people loved most about Club Lago last year was the atmosphere, and the music plays a huge role in that. Alex Hosking and Matt Sammut will each bring a different style and energy during Spring Carnival, while DJs and live entertainment will continue throughout summer and into 2027.”

Club Lago is set to stay open on scheduled race days in the warmer months and into autumn, with further dates scheduled into 2027. Meaning there will be plenty more opportunities to pull out the summer wardrobe and make a day out of it.

For those who discovered Club Lago last season, its October return marks the chance to round up the group and head back. For anyone yet to experience it, the new season offers an introduction to one of Morphettville’s more recent additions to Adelaide’s summer social calendar.
