Welcome back! It’s time for our second Whatcha Reading of the month. Here’s a peek at what we’re reading right now:
Lara: I’m trying romance adjacent non-fiction. It’s the first non-fiction book I’ve read in years and years. Jane Austen’s Bookshelf by Rebecca Romney. ( A | BN | K | AB ) It’s a total change of pace for me. I’m only a couple chapters in but I’m enjoying being brought along on this hunt for rare books.
Carrie: That book is so good!
Sarah: I have wandered into the Hoopla Hall of Harlequin Presents and it’s wild in here. The tycoons are angry, the Greeks and Sicilians are always wearing expensive suits, and the plots are outlandish, just as I expected. When I find a good one, I’m so happy. But the time investment is such that if the book isn’t grabbing me, I can move on quickly.
