Ahead of the Congress party’s planned rally at Ramlila Grounds from 1st November, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad has raised strong objections, accusing the party of pursuing an anti-Hindu agenda and targeting Hindu festivals. The Vishwa Hindu Parishad claimed the rally disrupts the festival-led economy ahead of Diwali. Local traders in Delhi, including markets near Old Delhi and Chandni Chowk, also appealed to postpone the demonstration citing potential losses worth crores of rupees.
