Rugby in the UAE has had an unusual end to the 2025/26 season.
For the past couple of months, organised sport has been limited across the country while clubs, schools and players adjusted their schedules during a difficult period for the wider region.
Now, the game is beginning to return.
Training camps are being promoted again. Touch rugby is back on club calendars. Players are reconnecting with teammates, and this weekend, the UAE rugby community will ascend at The Sevens Stadium for an end-of-season social tournament, organised by the RCM.
The 2026 Final Social Tournament is scheduled for Friday, May 1 and Saturday, May 2 at The Sevens Stadium on Al Ain Road.
It gives young players a chance to finish the season on the field, senior teams a reason to regroup and gives families and club volunteers a weekend back around the game.
After a disrupted few months, that routine is starting to return.
